PPL publishes and operates this Website at the url peoplemanagement.co.uk (the "Website ") and the People Management magazine (the "Magazine") on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (" CIPD ") and CIPD Enterprises Limited ("CIPDE"). Through the Website you may gain access to the products and services of CIPD and CIPDE. You may also gain access to the subscription services of Alliance Media who administer Magazine subscriptions on behalf of PPL. In addition to these terms and conditions the provision of such products and services will be governed by such additional terms and conditions as made available to you on the relevant CIPD or PPL website or otherwise at the time of any purchase.

2. Registration
2.1
The Website is accessible to all, but some specific services are only available to CIPD members or Magazine subscribers (together defined as " Members "). Only Members may register with the Website to gain access to Member-only services. Non-Members may register as a guest user. Information about Magazine subscription can be found at the subscription page. Information about CIPD membership, guest user registration and free newsletter registration can be found on the CIPD website.
2.2
When you have completed your registration, you will be asked to submit additional information including your address, email address and areas of interest (the "Additional Information"). You are not obliged to submit this additional information in order to register with or use the Website, but if you choose to do so, then, subject to paragraph 3 below, CIPD may use it in order to provide you with a more personalised service.
2.3
We may suspend and/or terminate (either in whole or in part) your use of any user name, password or this Website immediately for any reason.
3. Use of the jobs service and display advertising service by Members and Non-Members
3.1
You acknowledge that the jobs service provided via the Website (including the "My Jobs" area) has the sole purpose of facilitating introductions between users of the Website and potential employers (the "Service"). You further acknowledge that, following any such introduction being made, it shall be up to the relevant user and potential employer in each case to agree how to progress matters further. Neither CIPD, CIPDE nor PPL shall have any liability to either such party in respect of the introduction or the relationship between such parties.
3.2
PPL provides the "My Jobs" area of the Website to help you search for the right career move more quickly and more effectively. The "My Jobs" area enables you to save job details, keep records of any applications you have made as well as opt-in to receive job alerts by email.
3.3
When using the Website and/or the jobs Service and/or display advertising service, you agree to:
(a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information when registering as a user of the Service or when applying for employment through the Website and notify us immediately of any changes in such user information or status; and
(b) abide by all applicable national and international laws, regulations and codes of practice and ensure that any information uploaded, distributed from or stored under your account registration does not infringe the rights of others; and
(c) not impersonate another person, use a false name or a name you are not authorised to use, create a false identity or e-mail address or try to mislead others as to the identify or origin of any communications; and
(d) maintain the confidentiality of your password and user name; and
(e) be entirely responsible for all activities conducted under your password and user name; and
(f) not make available or upload any text, graphics or photographs that are protected by copyright unless you have clear permission to do so from the copyright owner; and

PPL ‘Link to us’ logos may be downloaded and used on your web site to provide a hypertext link to the PPL web site or the CIPD website. They are available from the Link to us page on this site.

‘Link to us’ logos are provided at PPL’s absolute discretion and may be altered, or removed from your site, by us, at any time.
6.3
‘Link to us’ logos must not be presented on your site in a way which suggests that PPL or CIPD has an official association with your organisation or has endorsed any of your products.

PPL is not responsible for the content contained on any web site using one of our ‘Link to us’ logo links.

9.1
PPL reserves the right to assign or transfer all or any of its rights and obligations under these terms and conditions to any of its group companies or to any other third party. In the event of assignment or transfer, notification will either be given to you by e-mail or posted on the Website.

Failure by PPL or CIPD to exercise or enforce any right conferred upon it shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any such right nor operate so as to bar the exercise or enforcement of that or any other right on any later occasion.

PPL reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions from time to time. Such changes will either be notified to you by e-mail or posted on the Website.
