"How to lend HR expertise to mergers" (21 February) made some best-practice observations, but I would add two insights. First, although HR should seek to neutralise acculturation issues during M&As, it must recognise the reality that there will be a dominant culture in the new combination, driven by the values and procedures of the senior merger partner.
