Employers ‘assess pregnancy risk’ when recruiting

More than half of employers assess the chances of a female job candidate falling pregnant before recruiting her, according to research.

A survey of 1,100 company bosses and HR managers found that during the job selection process 52 per cent privately weighed up the chances of a candidate getting pregnant, taking into account her age and whether she was recently married.
