Plan ahead to defuse the ‘demographic timebomb’

HR must do more long-term workforce planning to win the war for talent, according to two new major pieces of research.


Changing demographics – in particular the imminent retirement of older, skilled workers at a time when there are fewer young people to replace them – means HR will have to plan ahead to retain the competence, knowledge and innovation in their organisations.
