Nearly four in 10 firms surveyed offer no support to help staff make long-term returns to work
A lack of rehabilitation support from employers is hampering efforts to get people on long-term sick leave back to work, according to the CIPD’s 2008 Absence Management survey.

Nearly four in 10 firms offer no support to help staff make long-term returns to work, the survey of 819 UK HR managers found. Where support was offered, people had to wait an average of more than two months to access it.
