Cuts aim to slash payroll costs

Hibernian Insurance estimates that it can make payroll savings of between 50 per cent and 70 per cent by outsourcing 580 jobs to Bangalore in India.
The Irish insurance company announced last month its intentions to move 580 jobs or about a quarter of its 2,200 employees in Ireland to India’s own “Silicon Valley”.
