Proposals include less red tape and more support for SMEs

Small and medium-sized businesses would be given a £2,000 bonus for every person who completed an apprenticeship under new plans announced yesterday by the Conservatives.
In a bid to increase the provision and standard of apprenticeships, David Willetts, shadow skills secretary, promised extra support to SMEs in England and to cut the bureaucracy to make it easier for all employers to take on apprentices.
