An AHRI survey indicates that almost half of HR practitioners believe there is intergenerational conflict in their workplace which has an impact on performance, and about 70 per cent said organisations should have a strategy to manage intergenerational differences.
However, 70 per cent of respondents to the survey, which referred to differences between the baby boomer, X and Y generations, said their organisation did not have such a strategy. A similar proportion said their HR department did not promote awareness of intergenerational differences.
