Speaking at a CIPD policy briefing last month, Jim Knight, schools and learners minister, called the 14-19 diplomas “the biggest educational reform in the world”. But with the diplomas, which start next month, already coming under fire from the CBI, schools and educational experts, many employers are still unsure what to expect.
In an interview with PM, Knight defended the reform as exactly what employers have been asking for.
