Employers could be liable for discriminatory aspects of their pension schemes going back decades, lawyers have warned. Many aspects of pension schemes were ruled unlawful in the UK by the 2006 age discrimination laws. Until recently it has been widely assumed that employers could be liable for discrimination only after the laws came into effect.
