Final salary scheme providers face mounting pressures

Three million final salary pension schemes are at greater risk of being wound up early or bought out because of excessive regulation, the CBI has warned.
Richard Lambert, director-general of the employers’ group, said in a speech to business leaders last Wednesday that business has voiced alarm at the mounting pressures being placed on defined-benefit schemes providers.
