15,000 rise on last year

The number of unemployed people has risen by 60,000 and jobseeker allowance claims have jumped at the highest rate for 15 years, according to the latest official data.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show that unemployment increased to 1.67 million in the three months to June, up 15,000 from a year earlier.
