The BBC has defended its record on training following criticisms levied by the industry watchdog over breaches in its editorial standards.
The corporation’s training and development director, Caroline Prendergast, told PM that training at the BBC had always been a high priority, and the fact that the BBC’s learning board was chaired by the deputy director-general highlighted its importance.
