HR must dedicate resources to diversity strategies for them to be successful

If you’re not prepared to invest time and resources in your diversity strategy then “don’t bother”, Pat Oakley, head of equality services for the London Fire Brigade, warned delegates.

“You have to keep on and on reinforcing the message,” she said. “If you’re not prepared to do that it will make you minority staff think you are not engaged in the debate. You have to remember that you must dedicate resources to this.”
