Public spending body reports project completed £135m under budget

The launch of Jobcentre Plus has been branded a success by the House of Commons’ public spending watchdog.
A total of 1,500 employment and social security offices were merged and 800 Jobcentre Plus offices were planned in the project, which was managed by the Department for Work and Pensions between 2002 and 2008.
