Project teams abound. They are assembled at short notice to tackle specific business issues. How many teams are operating in your business?
Examples include convergence teams as part of a merger or acquisition, project teams to tackle specific work streams, and change teams. Business-critical initiatives are often put into the hands of these teams. Globalisation and matrix structures increase their use and importance.
