Managers and employees want HR functions to be responsive, proactive and professional, according to research.
The study, What customers want from HR, by the Institute for Employment Studies (IES), found that while a third of managers think HR is improving, a similar proportion feel it is getting worse. The critical factors affecting attitudes to the function were its ability to be responsive to business needs, to spot issue ahead of time and to provide a professional service.
