Romania is suffering a shortage of expert HR professionals, as half a million skilled workers have left the country following its accession to the EU.
Delegates at the National Congress of the HR Vocational School in the Transylvanian capital of Cluj were told that despite Romania experiencing large investment from firms such as Nokia – which opened a factory there in 2007 – it is struggling to meet labour demands.
