Many work-related questions remain only partly answered. Is pay a motivator? If everyone was more emotionally intelligent would every workplace – and, indeed, the world – be a better place? Just what is leadership exactly? Is talent management a really bad idea or a really, really bad idea?
Similarly, there are debates and arguments that just seem to keep going. Believe it or not, the debate about whether a happy worker is also a productive worker is still going strong. On one hand, there are those who think it’s obvious that increasing job satisfaction will improve performance: a utopian win-win where everyone is not only happier but also more effective.
