Handling redundancy and restructuring programmes is one of the most challenging tasks facing HR practitioners – and one that an increasing number of HR managers are likely to experience in a difficult economic climate.
While organisations need to see beyond the hype of the credit crunch and redundancy should be viewed as a last resort, they and their HR teams still need to be adequately equipped to deal with any decision to restructure or downsize.
