Father figure role for Citi

Banking group Citi is to hold quarterly support groups for fathers-to-be. Citi has already held a two-hour session, which attracted 30 employees. Staff discussed how they planned to balance work and family life, and the session, facilitated by coaching organisation Talking Talent, provided information about benefits and flexibility.

“Unlike mothers, the dads we employ tend not to be well connected with others in their situation and too often aren’t aware of the support and information available,” Carolanne Minashi, head of diversity, EMEA, told PM. “But, given the opportunity, men are just as interested in sharing tips and talking about this stuff as women are.”
