Government report blames performance-related pay contract

The new performance-related pay contract for GPs has “failed to live up to expectations”, according to a new report by MPs.
The report, by the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee, found that doctors in England are working less but being paid higher salaries since the introduction of the contract in 2004.
