A culture change is needed among law firms to enable more flexible working practices, helping to attract and retain top talent, research has found.
A study of 13 leading law firms by Working Families found that while flexible working policies are often in place, they are not always culturally accepted, contributing to a gender imbalance at senior levels and making it harder to attract diverse talent. The study also identifies a need for a greater work-life balance in the sector, particularly in light of the current economic downturn.
