Winner of the management research report prize, Agnieszka Lenton, found the practical assignments and research projects in her MA course in HR development particularly useful.
With an interest in organisational development and change, Lenton chose a research project examining one of the change programmes being implemented in her organisation, a local council. Her project on flexible location working focused on the psychological impact of this change on staff. Her aims were to establish the success level of the first phase of the change programme; to verify what organisational and individual factors were involved in the short-term outcomes of the programme implementation (such as person-organisation fit); and to determine the relationship between overall staff satisfaction with the programme implementation and its longer term outcomes, such as productivity and organisational citizenship behaviours.
