UK universities need HR’s help to compete globally
British universities must modernise talent management and leadership development practices if they want to be the best in the world, a report by the Universities Personnel Association (UPA) has urged.
The report, written by the CIPD’s director of research and policy, Linda Holbeche, in conjunction with the UPA, draws on the findings of six discussion groups of HR professionals. Each group sought to address the question of how HR could help higher education to sustain high performance and compete in an increasingly competitive environment.
