Consultation closes on whether recession should put off extension

The government will decide shortly whether it is to postpone the planned extension of flexible working rights because of the economic downturn.
On Wednesday it closed its consultation on whether it should delay extending the right to request flexible working – currently available to parents of children aged under six – to parents of under-16s.
