Pension off outdated view of retirement
I was disappointed to read that 20 per cent of employers plan to deal with the economic crisis by enforcing the government retirement age policy that allows them to refuse workers’ requests to stay on after 65 without providing a business reason (News, 30 October). This may be an easy way to reduce staffing levels, but it may well not be the best solution for the organisation.
