Slashed NHS budgets ‘won’t hit patient care’
Tighter budgets expected in the NHS will put the focus on improving productivity and quality of care, its top HR professional has said.
Given the economic downturn, “we can’t keep relying on the sorts of increases we’ve had in our budgets in the past”, said the Department of Health’s director-general of workforce, Clare Chapman.
