Pressure can kill creativity

I was dumbstruck after reading “Pressure cooker – double the results in half the time” by Chris Barez-Brown, global head of innovation capability at ?What if! (Creative coach, 30 October). As a risk management coach, I was annoyed at the recommendation to contravene health, safety and welfare guidance.

Establishing an artificial pressure cooker environment in the hope that it will increase creativity is wrong. I recommend anyone considering this reads the Management Standards for Work Related Stress, and then performs a stress risk assessment to avoid litigation.
