Public-sector salary freeze is a viable option, says CIPD

The government should consider freezing the pay of public-sector workers in the light of falling inflation, the CIPD has suggested.

The retail prices index fell to 0.1 per cent in January from 0.9 per cent in December, according to the Office for National Statistics.
