Gordon Brown calls for inquiry after revelations over minister

The chairman of the government standards watchdog has launched an inquiry into MPs’ expenses and allowances.Gordon Brown requested the review in the wake of news that employment minister Tony McNulty had been claiming thousands of pounds in allowances for a second home owned by his parents.
