HR directors urged to engage with CEOs on talent management

HR professionals should be telling their chief executives that talent management must be given the highest priority during the recession, according to an expert in leadership coaching.Steve Tappin, who interviewed 150 business leaders for his book The Secrets of CEOs , told delegates at HRD that they “may not get another chance in their careers” to do this, especially as the chief executives he’d spoken to weren’t sure about the type of talent that their organisations needed in order to weather the recession.
