Nike show there is more to learning than trainers
A process of self-managed learning is the key to giving managers the best transition to a new role, according to Nikes HR director for Northern and Central Europe.Vikki Matthews told delegates at the CIPD’s HRD conference that the firm used to offer a list of courses for new managers to complete, but they had come to the conclusion that individuals were best placed to define their own learning needs.
