Positive signs for L&D, says David Fairhurst
The CIPD’s learning and development survey contains positive messages for L&D professionals despite the widespread perception of budgets being cut, according to David Fairhurst, senior vice president and chief people officer at McDonald’s.The latest annual L&D survey, to be launched at the HRD conference in April, found that one third of L&D professionals had faced reduced training budgets in the past year, but Fairhurst pointed out that this means the majority had either remained stable or had actually increased.
