Recession leads one-third of firms to slash training budgets

Training budgets have been cut by one-third of organisations surveyed by the CIPD, and just over a third expect budgets to be reduced next year.

Yet 70 per cent of the 900 firms responding to the institute’s annual Learning and Development survey said learning and development remained a high priority, regardless of their financial situation.
