Self-serving selection

I agree with Barry Spence (“How to filter job applications”, 12 March). We need to get smarter and faster when filtering job applications, particularly at a time when people are arguably more focused on getting a job rather than a career. Many people shy away from using online tools to automate selection. But we know plenty of HR teams barely getting through applications.
