Government seeks employers’ views on fit note
A 12-week consultation has begun on the government’s new fit note.
The new medical certificate, to replace the current sick note, is part of a drive to help more people to stay in work rather than succumbing to long-term absence. It was one of the recommendations made by Dame Carol Black, the national director for health and work, in her review of the working population published last year.
