Job satisfaction rises as workers ‘grin and bear it’
Employees are more satisfied with their jobs now than they were three years ago, suggesting that staff are counting their blessings during the downturn, according to CIPD research.In the institute’s new Employee Outlook survey of 3,000 people, the number of satisfied employees exceeded the number of dissatisfied employees by 46 percentage points. In the last equivalent survey in 2006, the difference was 26 percentage points.
