The Trouble with Working Women

The workplace isn't geared up to accommodate the stark reality that exists for many women in the UK: it's a career or a family, but if you want both then prepare for a struggle. That was one of the conclusions reached on BBC Two's The Trouble with Working Women. It was suggested that the glass ceiling may have been removed, only to be replaced with a glass maze.This two-part programme aimed to find out why women often don't scale the same career heights, or earn as much, as men.
