What about the workers?

The article on HR in the Middle East (“Oasis unplugged”, 9 April) defies parody. While the author talks about HR practice and the problems of western expats she avoids the plight of hundred of thousands of Indian, Bangladeshi and Filipino workers who are kept in virtual slavery, their passports taken by their employers, women working excessively long hours as maids and men toiling in intolerable temperatures in construction.
