CIPD backs plans to shelve extended paternity leave
The CIPD has welcomed the news that previous plans for extending paternity leave will now be subject to a government review, prompted by the recession.
The flagship policy would have enabled parents to share leave when caring for their newborn babies, but it is now being reconsidered given the added pressures the recession has placed on business.
