Healthy suspicion

I was interested to read about the Centre for Organizational Health and Well-being at Lancaster University (“Large employers give a shot in the arm to health research centre”, News, 21 May), having an interest in occupational health psychology.

What struck me, however, was the irony of Tesco’s support for this centre. A good friend of mine works for Tesco and has been on a leadership training programme, which did indeed include “modules on how to develop good nutrition, hydration, relaxation, sleep and exercise routines that fit in with employees’ working life”.
