Irish employer body calls for scrapping of joint labour committee

The Irish Business and Employers Confederation (Ibec) has urged the government to abolish the joint labour committee (JLC) system, which sets minimum wages and conditions in low-paying industries such as hospitality, security, catering and cleaning.
