Cairn Energy is an Edinburgh-based oil and gas exploration and production FTSE-100 company. Our strategy focuses on organic growth and delivering shareholder value; underpinning that is the development of 25 oil discovery sites in Rajasthan, India, complemented by new exploration licences in Greenland.
The company has gone through substantial change since 2007, with the initial public offering of the India business, the creation of a new exploration-led subsidiary, the acquisition of two new companies and a reorganisation of the head office. In 2008, an employee engagement programme “Project Re-buzz” was established to help ensure that we kept our people engaged during and after such a period of transition, alongside changes to our leadership development.
