B&Q has introduced a monthly bonus scheme for its shopfloor staff, in an attempt to link pay more closely to performance.
The DIY retailer will set targets for each store and will measure each outlet’s performance against them. Staff will then be paid either a 6 per cent minimum bonus, or 10 per cent if their store has hit its target, or a maximum 14 per cent if they have significantly surpassed it.
