Colour blindness rules to be relaxed for pilots

Aspiring pilots whose applications were rejected on the grounds of colour-blindness are being encouraged to reapply as more accurate tests for the condition are to be introduced. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has approved new examinations that establish the degree of somebody’s colour-blindness, rather than merely the existence of it.
