Delay agency workers law, says CIPD
The Agency Workers Directive should not be implemented until 2011 to limit its impact on the market during the recession, employers and recruiters have argued.As a consultation on proposed agency worker legislation came to an end this week, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and the CIPD have both called for a delay over concerns that the current directive is too complex. They say it could strangle demand for temporary workers.
