Doctors want EU working time laws suspended because of swine flu

European working time rules for doctors should be suspended if the swine flu pandemic gets worse, according to doctors’ groups.

Remedy UK has called for “special measures” to bypass the reduction in the working week for junior doctors that comes into force at the beginning of August.
