Entrepreneurs in the workplace

Businesses say they want to hire “entrepreneurs”. But are entrepreneurial employees – as opposed to maverick leaders such as Sir Philip Green or Sir Alan Sugar – really good for business and compatible with the corporate environment? Methodology Almost 300 middle managers from corporate and professional services firms completed questionnaires in 2008-09. Their responses were added to group discussions involving decision-makers and business leaders.
