Hampshire County Council creates 900 jobs for young workers
Hampshire County Council is to create 900 jobs for young people after leading a consortium that bid for a £5.85 million grant from the government’s Future Jobs Fund (FJF).
The roles created will be for young people aged 18 to 24 who have been unemployed for 12 months or more, and will focus on bringing benefits to the whole community. For example, groundwork jobs will improve access to parks and other recreational areas, while community centre catering jobs will provide opportunities for people to train as chefs.
